Good gov Mon & Eval Directorate
Article 27 of the Proclamation No. 199/2015 issued by the House of People's Representatives of the Central Ethiopia Region to determine the powers and functions of the executive bodies. Among the powers and duties given to the Public Service and Human Resource Development Office in Article 14 of the Decree, the office is to research and identify the problems of good governance and rent collection in government institutions at all levels in the region. Designing strategies for solving specific problems, monitoring and supporting the process of solving the problems, ensuring public satisfaction by carrying out feasibility studies, and in the same decree, Article 9 states that the office will ensure that service delivery standards, complaint presentation and resolution systems are developed and implemented in the regional government offices.
Therefore, the Directorate for Support and Monitoring of Good Governance is one of the Directorates that the Office has organized to fulfil the powers and duties given by the above Establishment Decree.
The work of the directorate begins with conducting a study to identify the problems of good governance and krai collection at all levels in the region, and designing, developing and implementing procedures and organizations to address the problems. It will be completed by providing problem-solving capacity building training, performance support and monitoring and feedback, as well as feasibility studies to determine the results achieved.
In the implementation of good governance principles, in the organization and operation of the public wing, in the fight against the anti-Krai collectivism, Also, providing capacity building training for the state institutions in the region and their implementation and support monitoring services for institutions are among the main services provided by the Good Governance Affairs Support and Monitoring Directorate. In the sector, a vision is being set to see a government service sector and servant that can effectively carry out its mission by 2022, praised for its ethics, independent, independent and competent, become a reality. Therefore, government institutions at all levels in the region should respect the 8 principles of good governance, whether in their strategic work or in the services they provide on a daily basis. We convey our message to them to identify and involve the public wing of their respective institutions and to work to increase the satisfaction of their customers by solving customer complaints according to the established procedures.
